SAN DIEGO, CA – May 6th, 2016 – Reveal Biosciences LLC, a leader in advanced tissue technologies, and Explora BioLabs, a key provider of in vivo services, have been awarded the National Institute on Aging (NIA) contract to develop and maintain their Aged Rodent Tissue Bank.
The Aged Rodent Tissue Bank gives scientists access to a large collection of fresh-frozen tissue from aged rats and mice that is immediately available and suitable for multiple experimental protocols, substantially reducing research cost and time.
“We are excited to build upon our strong relationship with Explora BioLabs and combine our expertise to develop and maintain the Aged Rodent Tissue Bank. This tissue source has become a game-changing tool for research on aging, as investigators are no longer required to wait months or years to study their tissue of interest, significantly accelerating their research,” said Dr. Claire Weston, CEO and founder of Reveal Biosciences.
This project is funded in whole or in part with Federal funds from the National Institute on Aging, National Institute of Health, Department of Health and Human Services, under Contract No. HHSN271201600004C.
